Weigh-In Update

I only gained .6 pounds from my last "official" weigh-in which was 2 weeks ago. Not bad considering all of the full-fat Lay's sour cream 'n onion chips I binged on over the last week and a half. I confessed to my husband that I had had a lot of them when he wasn't around and his comment was something like "so that's where they went" since the bag didn't last as long as it should have. I told him we need to switch the door knobs around in the house and put the locking knob from the office on the pantry and when he's not around to take the key with him. I'm only half joking.

I walked over my lunch hour yesterday for 30 minutes and we took the dog for a walk, which also takes 30 minutes. And during halftime of the Huskers game we went for 30 minute walk. I just need to keep the activity going.

Our leader had us all set a mini-goal for the Saturday before Thanksgiving, which is November 22. That's 5 weeks from today. I really, really, really want to be at goal by then. To do so, I have to lose 8.8 pounds. I can do it. I just need to recommit and get my butt off the couch!

I can't believe you are so close to goal! Get movin' girl!!

I read in Prevention magazine that someone put baby proof locks on their cabinets in order to have that five seconds to consider whether they really wanted the food inside or not. Hmm... wouldn't work for me, because I don't have knobs on my cabinets!!

I'm so proud of you! I know you can get to your goal in 5 weeks because you have great dedication! You can do it!

I just read kiki's comment and I don't think that work for me either. I think my husband would find it annoying as well. :)

Husband here.... The problem with baby proof locks is that sometimes adults have issues with them. Some of the child proof caps on the cold medicines we have at my worklplace give me the fits.

Way to go on the recommitment to exercise. I'm cheering you on to be at your goal by T'giving. And, I'm going to try to be at some amount lost by then (not sure what the amount is yet) since that begins the holiday (aka food food food) season.

As you get closer and closer to goal, it definitely gets tougher, but you can totally do it!!! I just need to learn how to bottle my husband's ability to stop eating when he's full, and forget about the treats in the cupboard (seriously, how can he forget they're in there??).
