Halfway There!

I just returned from weigh-in and I'm down another 2.2 for a total loss of 42.0 pounds! My initial goal was to lose 80 pounds...I only have 38 more to go! That's less than what I've lost so far. I'm at the halfway mark. =)

We leave for Chicago 9 weeks from tomorrow. I've decided to change my "45 by May 25" goal to "50 by May 25." If I keep having losses like I have, then 8 pounds in 9 weeks is doable. I want the "50" washer charm for my keychain before we go!

I'm now at the weight I was when we got engaged and 10 pounds less than I was the day we were married. My wedding gown is now too big, mostly due to "the girls" but also in the waist. I try it on every now and then just for fun. =)

We're BOTH Losers!

Even though my husband isn't "doing" WW with me, he's now lost 31 pounds since I began 19 weeks ago. I'm so proud of him! He joined the gym and is there every weekday morning around 5:30 a.m. He eats healthy meals at home and is making healthier choices at the cafeteria and often chooses fruit or wheat thins as a snack in the evening. When we go to restaurants, he still eats "bad" food but it hasn't affected his weight loss. He's doing great doing it his way!

We've now lost a combined total of 70 pounds since Nov. 10, 2007. How awesome is that?! We have a ways to go till we're both at goal, but so far we're doing fantastic!

Oh so close!

I missed the 40-pound mark by only .2 pounds! I needed to lose 1.8 but came up a bit short with 1.6. To be honest, I was surprised I lost that much! It was a challenging week with a wine tasting party (thanks Hampton's!), a St. Patty's party at work, and a night with the girls....but I stayed on track and did well. On top of that, TOM showed up this morning so now I know why I was so crabby yesterday! lol...

Wrigley had her Easter haircut this morning and I can't resist posting a picture of her. How cute is she?! (when she's all dolled up it makes it hard to be mad at her when she's naughty!)

Holy Cow!

I had weigh-in yesterday and was SHOCKED at the a good way! I lost 3.0 pounds for a total of 38.2 pounds! I haven't lost that much in a week since week 7's weigh-in. I am only 6.8 away from meeting my 45-pound mini-goal for our Chicago trip. We leave in 10 weeks so I'm not too worried about making goal. I'm not going to change it yet, but I'm thinking that I might be able to lose 50 pounds by then!

I am really starting to get compliments from people. It took losing 30+ pounds before they started noticing, but last week I had a lot of nice comments. I think it helps wearing pants that fit rather than my old "fat" pants. =) I wore a pair of dress pants last week to work and had 3 people tell me I was really looking nice. Then at WI yesterday, I wore a new pair of jeans (size 16) and a lady at the meeting said that she can really tell I've lost a lot and that she's been meaning to tell me. That was a huge NSV for me.
I bought a new pair of khaki pants yesterday at Steve & Barry's. It's nice being able to shop in "regular" stores again. I'm hoping to go get a couple more pairs later today. It's going to be too nice to wear the corduroy pants pretty soon, and plus they are really big on me now.

Another Sticker!

I lost 1.2 this week so I'm at 35.2 pounds and I received another sticker to put in my book! I've now lost 16% of my starting weight.

I am only 10 pounds from my mini-goal of "175 by May 25." I'm pretty confident I will make it! Once I get to 175, my BMI will be in the overweight category and I will no longer be classified as obese! I would love to be "just overweight" when we go to Chicago!

I've Lost My Age!

Yep, after losing another 2.2 I've now lost exactly 34 pounds! I also received my "clapping hands" charm for sticking with WW for 16 weeks. =) The next charm I will receive is for having lost 50 pounds! That's only 16 pounds away!

Last week I ate pretty much all of my activity points and hardly any (just 3) of my weekly flex points. So perhaps that's the key. I will do the same this week and see what happens.

I'm striving to lose at least 1 pound this week so I'll get another star sticker AND be able to have coffee with my husband. With every 5 pounds lost, we go to Starbucks and I get a 'skinny' latte as a little reward and treat. They say to reward with non-food items, and well, it technically isn't food...but probably not what they have in mind. It's only 2 points and coffee is something that I've quit drinking otherwise. So it's okay.
