Virtual Model

Okay, so since I don't have a full-body "before" shot of me, I decided to try the next best thing...a virtual model! Below is "me" at my starting weight of 220 and "me" at my goal weight of 135. I'm gonna be hot! lol....

A Decent Week

I lost 1.4 pounds during the week so in 11 weeks I've lost 26.8 pounds! I weighed myself here at home yesterday and had lost exactly 2 pounds according to my scale. I'm pretty sure that the .6 difference between yesterday morning and this morning has to do with the tostada, margarita and bacardi & diet coke I had last night. It was a friend's bday so we went out. I shouldn't have done it the night before a weigh-in, but I have to live my life, right? It could also have to do with the fact that I wore jeans for weigh-in today and not my normal khaki pants. The jeans obviously weigh a little more, though I'm not sure exactly how much. At any rate, a 1.4 pound loss is still great!

I bought some of the WW chocolate smoothie packets today and decided to try one of the recipes that came with them. I mixed in some crushed ice, cherry coke zero, milk, and lite cool whip along with the chocolate packet and used my hand blender to mix it up and WOW was it good! It's nice and thick like a milk shake and the cherry flavor really came out. I will definitely make it like this again! It was only 3 points and counts as 2 milk servings, which is awesome.

I think it's supposed to be warmer this week so hopefully I'll get more walking in than I did this past week. Besides being a little under the weater, it was about 10 degrees all last week....too cold to walk outside. I only earned 4 AP's last week, which is way under the goal I set last Saturday. Again, this week should be better.

A New Charm!

Yay! I lost 2.0 pounds during the week so I've now lost 25.4 pounds! Along with the 25 pound milestone came a new silver charm to put on my keychain!

I earned 11 activity points during the week, too, which is the most since I started. My goal this week is to earn 16 points...that would be walking the dog every day (M-F anyway) and walking at work 3 times during the week.

Not to gloat, but I am SO very proud of myself. I never thought that I would do this good! I was too hung up on past failures to think that this would REALLY work! I'm glad that I took the chance and walked through the door that day because I have enjoyed the past 10 weeks and here's to 25 more! Michigan Avenue, here I come!

I Have a New KEYCHAIN!

Yay! I lost 2.0 pounds last week for a total loss of 23.4 pounds in 9 weeks! I also reached my 10% goal which was set at 22. =)

It feels good to have reached my first goal...and it's now time to set my next goal! I have 19 more weigh-ins before we leave for Chicago, so my new goal is "175 before May 25!" I need to lose 21.8 pounds to attain it. I will then be the weight I was when Bill and I got engaged!

This is a short blog as I have some housework to do. I may post again before next week's weigh-in. Until then, an updated progress chart is below.

It's My Birthday!

Yayyyy! Okay, so I didn't get the keychain from WW today, but I was SOOO close! I only lacked .6 pounds of getting it. A little bummed, but I am determined to get it next week. Plus, losing a total of 21.4 pounds in 8 weeks ain't anything to shake a stick at! I'm doing GREAT!!!

I haven't had any coffee in 8 weeks, so I decided to treat myself (it's my birthday afterall!) to a skinny caramel macchiato from Starbucks! It's made with non-fat milk and sugar-free caramel syrup and sugar-free vanilla syrup...and minus the drizzle of caramel as the topping. It's delicious and I've earned it!

We're going to Applebee's for lunch and I'm ordering the cajun lime tilapia and the chocolate raspberry cake. Mmmmm...I'll even let them sing to me if they'll give me the dessert for free!

Tonight is the hockey game and I plan to have a snack there, but not my usual bucket of peanuts or nachos. A soft pretzel is only 3 points, so I'll get that and mustard to dip it into instead. Also, instead of beer, DH said he'd buy me bacardi & diet coke, which is 2 points compared to 3. A point is a point!
